Dear Glenburn Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the Second Grade! My name is Kris Worster and I am
your child’s Second Grade teacher this year. This is my first year
teaching at the Glenburn Elementary School and I am very excited to get
to know all of my students and their families. We are going to have a busy
and productive school year, filled with fun and exciting learning activities.
A little bit about me...I graduated from Husson University with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have one daughter who will
be entering her Junior year in high school this fall and I enjoy soccer,
traveling, hiking and reading. It is my primary goal to ensure that your
student is academically successful this year. Teaching is a commitment I
take very seriously. I recognize that each of my students has his or her
own way of learning and as the teacher, it is important for me to determine
these styles and help all of my students achieve to the best of their
ability. I also believe in learning from my students as they do from me.
Learning is a lifelong process!
Throughout the school year, please feel free to contact me with any
questions or concerns you may have about your child or other school issues.
I will do the same. I believe that keeping the lines of communication open
between home and school is a key component to the success of a child’s
education. I will keep you informed of our classroom policies, curriculum,
your child’s progress, and any other information that will aid in making this
year successful and memorable!
We are going to have an amazing year!
